Fewer Chatham-Kent residents have taken advance of early voting opportunities head of next Monday’s municipal election.
2857 people cast their ballot at one of the advance poll locations between October 13th and the 15th. That’s up from 2291 who voted in advance polls in the 2018 election.
Online voting took a dip, however. In 2018, 9787 people cast their ballots online. Online voting, which was open from October 3rd to the 16th this year, saw the number of votes falling to 7366.
In all just under 13% of the 80,312 registered voters have cast a ballot head of the October 24th election.
