Impaired driving charges have been laid against an Alberta man after a raucous drive through downtown Chatham.
Authorities say the suspect vehicle was swerving down King Street West on Thursday and may have hit a sign. The accused was found and pulled over near St Clair Street.
Officers suspected the driver may have been impaired by alcohol and the man was taken to police headquarters for further tests.
The 35-year-old has since been charged with having a blood alcohol level over the legal limit.
