A Dawn-Euphemia resident who was trying to give the Grinch Who Stole Christmas a run for his money has been arrested after allegedly stealing multiple Christmas Trees and making threatening remarks.
The Ontario Provincial Police said officers responded to a home on Downie Road in Dawn-Euphemia to investigate an allegation of uttering threats.
During a search of the property, officers discovered a number of suspected stolen Christmas Trees and a stolen vehicle. Multiple firearms were also seized.
A suspect was located at the scene and arrested.
The 45-year-old accused is now charged with uttering threats to cause death or bodily harm, two counts of possession of stolen property over $5,000, two counts of careless storage of a firearm, and eight counts of possessing a firearm or ammunition contrary to a prohibition order.
The Dawn-Euphemia resident was remanded into custody following a bail hearing.
