A local man has been arrested following a shoplifting incident in Chatham.
The Chatham-Kent Police Service said officers responded to a St. Clair Street business shortly after 4 p.m. on Monday after a man left with several items that he had not paid for.
Police later located a suspect and took him into custody.
The 36-year-old Chatham man is now charged with theft under $5,000, possession of stolen property under $5,000 and breach of conditions.
He has since been released with conditions and a future court date.
