An attempted shoplifting incident has landed a local man with charges.
Chatham-Kent Police responded to a business on Wellington Street West in Chatham and say a man was seen taking merchandise off the shelves and tried to leave the store without paying.
The accused was stopped by store security until officers arrived.
The 25-year-old suspect was also wanted on four outstanding warrants.
He was charged with theft and possession of stolen property.
