An arrest has been made in connection to a shoplifting incident several weeks ago.
On March 31, police responded to a business on King Street East in Chatham and say a woman was seen stealing some merchandise off the shelves. The suspect was identified and a warrant issued for her arrest.
Shortly before 7:30 last night, police spotted the accused on Colborne Street.
A 38-year-old woman has now been charged with theft and possession of stolen property. She’ll have to face the charges in court next month.
