Another August Weekend

This past weekend was full of lots of fun and exciting events across the XS area! My weekend started off on Friday when I headed over to Crothers Park in Wallaceburg. It was Movies in the Park so I stopped by to see what was going on beforehand. They had the imagination playground, other family games and activities, and then Mr. Poppers Penguins played at dusk.20170819_0926331

Saturday morning started out in Chatham at the School Bus Training and Safety Day at Ursuline College. There were lots of kids getting excited for starting school in September. They had an animated film was was played first that went over all of the rules of the bus and how to get on and off the bus. After the video, we headed outside to practice bus safety in action. The children practiced getting on and off the bus safely with their parents and also by themselves.

Next stop was at the Farmers and Artisans market in Chatham. They had lots of vendors there with a large variety which had fresh produce, a barbecue, and lots more! Many farm vendors came out and enjoyed their Saturday afternoon. Roesch Meats and more was there with the barbecue, serving their great tasting meats! After relaxing right across from the Downtown Chatham Centre for awhile I headed out back to Wallaceburg for the splash pad grand opening.

The grand opening went great with lots of families in attendance! They had cotton candy and the imagination playground for the kids to play with. The grand opening was at 12:30 when they cut the ribbon to officially open the splash pad. Everyone had a great Saturday afternoon enjoying Wallaceburg’s new splash pad!

This past weekend was very busy but also lots of fun! I am excited for this weekend when I will be at Bike Fest CK, the Vintage Social, the Selkirk History Faire, and other local events! Come out and say hi to me in the Summer Escape!
