Another COVID Outbreak at CKHA

Another outbreak of COVID-19 has been declared at the Chatham-Kent Health Alliance.

CKHA officials say three cases of health-care acquired COVID have been identified in the Chatham site’s Medicine Unit.

Hospital officials are working with Public Health to manage the outbreak and communicate with affected patients and families.

CKHA’s pandemic response action plan includes increased infection prevention and control guidelines, with additional initiatives put in place as a result of the most recent outbreak on the Medicine Unit.

This is the third COVID outbreak at CKHA this month. Two outbreaks affecting the Medicine B Unit and Complex Continuing Care unit were just declared over last Thursday.
