Another Heat Warning In Effect

An Extended Heat Warning has been issued for Chatham-Kent, as a hot and humid air mass from the Gulf of Mexico moves into the area.  Heat

The Extended Heat Warning is in effect starting today, and remains in effect until Thursday.

Residents are reminded to keep cool during the next few days, as temperatures rise above 30 degrees Celsius.

Evenings will reach a low of 20-23 degrees Celsius.

Most at risk for heat-related illnesses are young children and infants, the elderly, and those with chronic conditions.

The Ministry of Environment and Climate Change reminds everyone to keep hydrated, and spend most of the day in a cool area.

A relatively cooler air mass will move into the region Thursday night.
