Another Jump In Ontario COVID-19 Cases

Another rise in COVID cases across Ontario.

Health Minister Christine Elliot announced 170 new cases today with 25,000 tests completed.

The bulk are once again coming from the GTA and Ottawa areas: 55 in Toronto, 28 in York Region, 22 in Peel Region, and a dozen positive tests in Ottawa.

On the plus side, 142 patients across Ontario have now recovered from the virus.

Elliot says 28 of the province’s public health units are reporting five or fewer new cases with 14 reporting no increase at all.

Chatham-Kent’s active caseload stands at one as of Wednesday afternoon. The latest figures will be released at 2:30 this afternoon.
