Another Outbreak at Riverview Gardens

Chatham’s Riverview Gardens is back in outbreak mode.

The municipally-run long term care facility announced Wednesday afternoon an employee has tested positive for COVID-19. The employee and any close contacts are all said to be self-isolating.

No residents have tested positive for the virus.

An outbreak has been declared for the 3-East unit, with new visitor restrictions in place.

The current visiting rules for 3 East ONLY:
– General visitors are not allowed on 3 East during the outbreak
– One Caregiver at a time can visit a resident. The Yellow Caregiver button must be worn while on site.
– The Caregiver will wear full PPE on the unit, provided by the home
