Lower ice rental rates could soon be in place across Chatham-Kent arenas. 
A number of recommendations are being placed in front of councillors to approve Monday, including a price reduction to 173-dollars for prime ice and to 152-dollars non-prime.
Prime ice hours be changed to Monday – Friday: 5:00-11:00 pm and all day on weekends until 11 pm and unused ice be priced at $100 an hour.
To offset the potential decrease in revenue a maximum of 240-thousand dollars will be set aside from a reserve fund.
