Allegedly smashing a window with her fist has resulted in charges for a Chatham woman.
The Chatham-Kent Police Service said officers were called to the Wellington Street West area at around 6:40 p.m. on Monday, after a concerned citizen reported hearing yelling and glass breaking.
Officers arrived and learned that a woman had gone to a man’s home while upset, leading to an argument. The incident escalated when the woman allegedly punched a window, breaking the glass.
A 24-year-old Chatham woman was arrested and is now charged with mischief under $5,000. She has since been released with conditions and an October court date.
