Two men have been charged in separate incidents after arguments turned violent in Chatham and Wheatley.
The Chatham-Kent Police Service said officers were called to a domestic disturbance at a residence in Wheatley on Sunday, and allege that a 33-year-old man assaulted his girlfriend during an argument.
Also Sunday evening, officers responded to a verbal dispute at a home in Chatham after a 46-year-old man allegedly assaulted a family member.
Both men have been charged with assault and were released with a future court date.
