
A Blenheim man has been arrested following a counterfeit currency investigation.
The Chatham-Kent Police Service said officers were called to a retail store on Chatham Street North in Blenheim after counterfeit cash was used to make a purchase on September 12.
Using surveillance footage, investigators were able to identify a suspect and a warrant was issued for his arrest.
The suspect, a 50-year-old Blenheim man, was located and arrested on Forsyth Street in Chatham on Sunday shortly before 10 a.m.
He is now charged with uttering counterfeit money and possession of counterfeit money. He was later released with conditions and a future court date.
