A Chatham man is facing several charges in connection to repeated incidents of domestic violence.
Chatham-Kent Police responded to a report of threats shortly before 11 o’clock Thursday night.
Authorities say further investigation showed there had been several incidents between a man and woman between August and December, 2024, involving physical assaults, threats, and forcible confinement.
The 42-year-old accused has now been charged with three counts of assault, two counts of uttering threats to cause death, and one count each of assault causing bodily harm through choking and forcible confinement.
The man was taken to police headquarters and held in custody for a bail hearing.
