A local man has been arrested after the inside of a Chatham building was vandalized.
The Chatham-Kent Police Service said officers responded to the building on Pine Street at around 3 p.m. on Friday after the damage was reported.
Authorities reviewed surveillance footage, which showed a man entering the building and pulling down emergency lighting on two separate floors.
Officers were able to identify a suspect who was located and arrested.
A 19-year-old Blenheim man is now charged with mischief under $5,000. He was later released from custody with an October court date.
