Arrest Made In Animal Sanctuary Fires

A 30 year old Windsor woman has been charged in connection with a pair of deliberately set fires at a local animal farm.

On July 1st 2020, a blaze broke out at Charlotte’s Freedom Farm on Brooks Line. Several animals perished in the fire that caused about 300,000 in damage.

October 2nd of last year, the owner received a threatening letter in the mail, and another fire broke out at the farm June 20th of this year.  The blaze caused 15-thousand dollars in damage to a trailer but no injuries.

On Saturday CK police arrested the woman and charged her with uttering threats, and two counts of arson. She will appear in court November 16th.
