Charges have now been laid in connection to a break-in at the Bell Canada compound in Chatham a month ago.
Someone forced their way into the fenced compound on Queen Street back on May 21st, stealing over 200 metres of DC trunk cable, worth about $6000.
With the help of video surveillance, authorities were able to identify the man responsible.
Late Sunday afternoon, a 32-year-old Chatham man was taken into custody and charged with break and enter.
The accused will be back in court on July 28th.
