Arrest Made in Dog Park Assault

A Chatham woman will have to answer to a judge next month following a fight at the dog park in Chatham.

According to Chatham-Kent Police, two women got into an argument shortly after 7 Monday evening when one allegedly grabbed the other and began to chest bump her.

When the victim tried to call police, authorities say the instigator grabbed her cell phone and threw it in the bushes.

The suspect left before officers arrived, but with a description and her license plate number in hand, police were able to track her down.

The 36-year-old is now facing charges of assault and mischief.
