Theft charges have been laid following a shoplifting incident in Chatham.
Officers responded to a St Clair Street business Tuesday evening and say the accused was spotted removing items from the shelves and left the store without paying.
The suspect was found in the store’s parking lot and arrested.
The 29-year-old from Sarnia now faces charges of theft and possession of stolen property. He was released from custody with a date in court next month.
