An arrest has been made in connection with a fraud investigation that began back in April.

The Chatham-Kent Police Service said an officer was on general patrol on Wednesday shortly before 3 p.m. when they spotted a suspect on Dufferin Avenue in Wallaceburg.

The officer knew the man from previous interactions and confirmed that he was wanted on an outstanding warrant for an investigation involving a stolen credit card.

A 25-year-old man from Chatham-Kent was arrested and is now charged with possessing stolen property and using a stolen credit card. He was transported to police headquarters and held pending a bail hearing.
