A Chatham woman has a date in court next month, accused of starting a fire in Chatham.
Emergency crews were called to the basement of a Timmins Crescent four-plex just after 9:30 Sunday morning.
Chatham-Kent Police now say a woman living in the unit acted carelessly, which started the fire.
Authorities have not released what those careless actions entailed, or the extent of damage done.
The 36-year-old was arrested on Monday and charged with arson.
She was released from custody with conditions and a July 12th court date.
