Charges have now been laid in connection to a New Year’s Day fire in Wallaceburg.
Fire fighters responded to a Wall Street property Sunday afternoon.
Officials have not released a damage estimate, but say no one was injured in the blaze.
Chatham-Kent Police say the investigation, which involved Chatham-Kent Fire and Rescue and the Ontario Fire Marshal’s office, formed grounds to arrest a man for setting the fire.
The accused turned himself into police Wednesday afternoon.
The 60-year-old is charged with arson. He was released from custody with conditions and a date in court next month.
