An art workshop is being held to help spread awareness about species at risk in the local region.

The Lower Thames Valley Conservation Authority is holding the Species at Risk Guided Painting workshop on Friday at C.M. Wilson Conservation Area.

During this workshop, participants will follow along with Indigenous Community Educator Mariah Alexander to create their own painting of a local species of special concern, the Barn Swallow.

There are 30 spots available for the workshop, and the program is geared towards those eight years of age and older.

The cost to take part is a $10 entry fee at the door, however, preregistration is required by emailing mariah.alexander@ltvca.ca.
