A community event is returning to downtown Chatham, giving art lovers the chance to explore four vibrant venues and experience unique exhibitions.
Organized by the Thames Art Gallery, the Summer ARTcrawl will take place on July 18 from 5 p.m. until 9:30 p.m., featuring four live music performances and refreshments as participants tour the four exhibit locations.
The first venue is at ARTspace on King Street West, which will present Blue Balloon, a collaborative project with the Alzheimer’s Society of Chatham-Kent and art therapist Krista Schneider. Works by 43 ARTspace artists will also be on display.
The ARTcrawl will then continue down King Street to the Art and Heirloom Shoppe, which will give guests the chance to see the artwork of 60 Southwestern Ontario artists.
The third stop is Crow City Coffee, where Chatham-Kent artist Laura Graham’s exhibition Fear in Flesh will be on display.
Lastly, the ARTcrawl will wrap up at the Thames Art Gallery with the opening of Herbaria, a group exhibition featuring artists Carrie Allison, Alana Bartol, Patricia Coates, Lisa Hirmer, and Cedar Listening Circle.
