A rude awakening has led to the arrest of a Chatham woman.
The Chatham-Kent Police Service said officers responded to a disturbance at a Chatham home on Thursday shortly before 11:30 p.m.
Authorities arrived to find that a woman had punched her partner in the face while he was sleeping.
As a result, a 45-year-old Chatham woman was arrested and charged with one count of assault. She was later released from custody with a future court date.
