A Chatham man has been arrested following a violent confrontation last month.
Chatham-Kent Police launched an investigation on June 18th. Authorities say a man went to the victim’s home to address a situation involving his daughter and another young woman. The accused allegedly began acting aggressively towards the other girl’s mother, pushed her backwards and caused her to knock another woman to the ground, leaving both with minor injuries.
Police say the man also fell, suffering a minor injury to his shin. The accused fled before officers arrived and a warrant was issued for his arrest.
The suspect was taken into custody on Tuesday, charged with two counts of assault, and was held in custody for a bail hearing.
