A Ridgetown woman has been arrested following a violent altercation.
Shortly before 9 o’clock Monday night, Chatham-Kent Police responded to a report of a break and enter and assault at a Ridgetown home.
Authorities say a woman forced her way into the home through a window and, once inside, allegedly confronted the male resident and struck him in the face, causing minor injuries.
The accused the fled the scene, but was located by police and arrested.
The 45-year-old has been charged with break and enter to commit the indictable offence of assault.
She was taken to police headquarters and later released with a date in court next month.
