A Wallaceburg man has been arrested following an assault in Chatham.
The Chatham-Kent Police Service said officers located a female victim in emotional distress on Selkirk Street, just before 1 a.m. on Thursday.
Authorities quickly discovered that she suffered minor injuries as a result of an assault.
A 30-year-old Wallaceburg man was located and arrested in connection with the incident. He has since been charged with one count of assault and failing to comply with probation. He was held in custody for a bail hearing.
