A Chatham man has been charged with assault with a weapon following a fight with his girlfriend.
The weapon? An e-bike. Authorities say the couple got into a dispute outdoors yesterday afternoon when the man allegedly drove into the woman.
A passerby stopped to help, although the accused took off before police arrived.
The 28-year-old was soon tracked down and arrested. He’ll have to face the charges in court in April.
