
Charges have been laid after an argument turned violent in Chatham.
The Chatham-Kent Police Service responded to a report of a weapon-related incident at a home on McNaughton Avenue West at around 1 a.m. on Wednesday.
According to police, two men had been arguing when one of them retrieved an unspecified weapon and attempted to assault the other. The victim was uninjured.
As a result, a 21-year-old man was arrested and is now charged with assault with a weapon and possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose.
He was later released from custody with a December court date.
