Attempted Murder Charges Laid Against a Wallaceburg Woman

Chatham-Kent Police are investigating a stabbing in Wallaceburg.

Officers were called to an apartment building early Tuesday morning, and say a woman had been walking up and down the hallway of the complex yelling while wielding a kitchen knife.

Three men came out of their respective units to see what was going on. Authorities say the woman tried to stab two of the men, and made contact with the third.

The 58-year-old victim suffered life-threatening injuries and was taken to hospital in London.

The 33-year-old woman was taken into custody and charged with three counts of attempted murder and possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose.

She was held in custody for a bail hearing today.
