Charges have been laid in connection to a fraud investigation.
Chatham-Kent Police say a local woman was in hospital last month when several unauthorized purchases and withdrawals were made on her debit card, and several items were reported missing from her apartment.
Investigators formed grounds to arrest the victim’s neighbour. Yesterday, officers arrested the accused and charged her with theft and possession of stolen property.
The suspect was taken to police headquarters and later released with conditions and a date in court next month.
