It didn’t take long for Chatham-Kent Police to catch up to a suspected thief.
Officers got a call about a suspicious person around Gladstone Avenue early Tuesday morning. Authorities say a man broke into a vehicle and stole ID and bank cards before going on a spending spree at various convenience store and gas stations nearby.
Within an hour, police tracked down the accused thanks to video surveillance, and the 28-year-old is facing a slew of charges, including theft, possession of stolen property, and fraud.
