No injuries have been reported following a large shed fire near Wallaceburg.
Chatham-Kent Fire and Rescue said firefighters responded to the blaze at 5783 Stewart Line shortly before 2 p.m. on Thursday to find a 24 x 30-foot shed fully engulfed in flames. The roof of the structure had also collapsed.
The shed, which was being used as a mill, had an extensive amount of wood material inside and surrounding the structure, resulting in heavy fire conditions. The fire also spread to a smaller nearby woodshed.
Fire crews remained at the scene for around two and a half hours as the blaze was deep-seated and challenging to fully extinguish.
Damage from the fire is estimated at around $137,500.
While the cause of the blaze has not yet been determined, authorities say the fire is not suspicious in nature.
