Spokesperson Joy Badder says it’s just like trails in other areas, but a first in that region.
“There’s the Longwoods Barn Quilt Trail, the Thames River Barn Quilt Trail, as well as surrounding the village of Wardsville. But for Dawn-Euphemia, it’s a totally new project,” says Badder.
“The quilt pattern has been selected by the owners – the committee has a wide variety of patterns that one could choose from. Typically, an owner selects a pattern that reflects his or her occupation, or perhaps a location of the past, such as the post office,” Badder says.
The Dresden Rotary and IODE is also helping out.
The plan is to have up to 30 painted quilts installed along Oil Heritage Rd.
