Local baseball players and fans could make their way onto the big screen.
A movie titled “You Gottta Believe” is set to start filming in London next week and a casting call has been issued for extras to play fans in the stands, and 12 year old male players to play the opposing team in the final game. The film crew is also looking for an umpire.
The story revolves around a Texas little league team making the 2002 little league world series.
“As a valued spectator, you’ll not only enjoy the excitement of the game, a BBQ lunch, and a chance to be in the movie hitting theatres next year,” an online posting states. “No matter your age or background, this event is open to everyone who wants to be part of something special. Bring your energy, your passion, and your team spirit to Labatt Stadium, and let’s show the world why London is a city of champions.”
Filming would take place on June 23rd and July 12th and 13th.
