A local brewery has helped to ensure that animals in need receive proper care.
Pet and Wildlife Rescue (PAWR) and Red Barn Brewing Co. have teamed up to raise $31,231 through the Top Dog Beer Label Photo Contest.
For the contest, local dog owners submitted photos and stories of their four-legged family members for the chance to have their dog featured on a Red Barn beer label.
A total of 136 dogs were entered into the contest with Pete and George named as the “Top Dogs.”
All funds raised through the contest will go toward veterinary costs for animals in the shelter’s care.
Based on the success of the contest, PAWR officials are planning to make the contest an annual event.
