Tens of thousands of dollars have been raised to support end-of-life care in Chatham-Kent.
The fifth annual Benefit Gala for the Chatham-Kent Hospice raised more than $98,000 during an elegant evening of fine dining and auctions on October 21 at The Chatham Armoury.
A former hospice family was also in attendance to share their hospice experience.
“Overall, it was an amazing night that demonstrated our community’s continued compassion and care for one another,” said Randi Bokor Caron, board chair for the Chatham-Kent Hospice Foundation, in a news release.
The funds raised will help cover ongoing operational costs at the hospice to ensure families have access to compassionate, end-of-life care at no cost to them.
