Guns and thousands of rounds of ammunition have been seized following a police sting in Bothwell.

Back in April, members of the OPP’s Biker Enforcement Unit began investigating a Hells Angels member and his connection to a stolen motorcycle from Alberta.

Last Friday, August 18th, officers executed a search warrant at a Zone Road 7 home in Bothwell with help from the OPP Tactics and Rescue Unit, OPP Emergency Response Team, Chatham-Kent OPP, and Chatham-Kent Police.

Authorities arrested two people and seized five rifles, roughly 3000 rounds of ammunition, and a stolen motorcycle.

Two Bothwell residents are now both facing charges of possession of stolen property over $5000 and breaching firearms regulations. The accused were released from custody and are set to appear in court in Chatham in October.
