Organizers say every nomination represented a story of impact, leadership, and service in the community. The recipients were selected by an independent committee.
“We are proud to celebrate this year’s outstanding individuals and organizations who continue to uplift, inspire, and lead within our community,” a social media statement reads. “Their dedication, resilience, and impact reflect the very best of Black excellence in Chatham-Kent.”

The honours will be handed out this Saturday night during the Black Excellence Awards & Gala at the Everest Convention Centre in Chatham.
