A Blenheim couple are out $17,000 in a telephone fraud.
According to police the couple got a call around 5:30am Monday from somebody pretending to be from a bank.
The homeowner hung up, but the scammer called back right away, telling the victims that they were working with the RCMP to keep this exact thing from happening.
Over two days the couple pulled the cash from their account and made nine different transactions through Western Union.
