Canadian Blood Services is looking for local residents to roll up their sleeves for a good cause. 
Territory Manager Marisa Gatfield says a blood donor clinic is being held at the Spirit and Life Centre in Chatham this afternoon.
“When we host clinics in a community, we have a collection target that we set in place so it’s very important for the community to come out and give,” Gatfield explains. “Our collection target for this Wednesday’s clinic is 172 units of blood, so we need approximately 210 people to come through our doors that day to donate in order to achieve those units.”
Gatfield says many regular donors tend to shy away during the winter months when it’s cold and the weather can be unpredictable.
The clinic runs from 1-7pm.
