Bob Blizumi, Ski.J. Brodie Top Winning Names For CK Snow Plows

The Chatham-Kent Barnstormers, NHL player TJ Brodie, and Blenheim-born fisherman Bob Izumi were among the inspirations for Chatham-Kent’s popular snow plow naming contest.

The municipality has announced the winners of this year’s contest, which include Snow Stormer, Ski.J. Brodie, and Bob Blizumi.

The other winners were Brutus Blade, named after the Blenheim Blades mascot, and Steve Pin-snow, named for Lambton-Kent-Middlesex MPP Steve Pinsonneault who is also a former CK councillor.

As well, a sixth snow plow will be named to honour a long-time Kent County snow plow driver. The name of the plow will be unveiled once their family has been notified.

The municipality launched its fourth annual snow plow naming contest in late November with the winning names selected from among the entries.
