A boil water advisory has been put in place in Ridgetown.
The order affects only certain streets in the community, including sections of Marsh Street, Parkside Crescent, Golf Course Line, and Scane Road. Affected residents have been given hand-delivered notification.
The boil water advisory was put in place following multiple water main breaks and a significant loss of pressure within the distribution system.
Chatham-Kent’s Acting Medical Officer of Health, Dr. Shanker Nesathurai is advising affected residents to bring the water to a rolling boil for at least one minute prior to using it for domestic purposes.
