A boil water advisory has been put in place for residents in Mitchell’s Bay, Grande Pointe, and Bass Haven.

Officials with Chatham-Kent Public Health say the advisory was put in place following a loss of pressure through the water distribution system.

Residents are advised to bring water to a rolling boil for at least one minute before to using it for domestic purposes, such as drinking, making infant formula and juice, brushing teeth, washing raw foods and making ice. Safe bottled water sources can also be used for consumption.

Affected areas:

Mitchell’s Bay

The advisory will remain in place until the Health Unit receives more information from the water operator. CK Public Health is working closely with the Public Utilities Commission.
