A 50-year-old Bothwell man is facing charges of impaired driving and failing to remain at a crash. 
OPP say the man slammed into a hydro pole around 2:45am Saturday in Newbury, fleeing in his vehicle following the crash.
Police caught up with him a short time later and transported him to headquarters.
His driver’s licence has been suspended for 90 days and his vehicle impounded for a week.
