An upcoming bottle drive is helping to provide books for children across Chatham-Kent.
The fundraising event called Bottles for Books is being organized by the Kiwanis Club of Chatham-Kent in partnership with the Dolly Parton Imagination Library.
On January 6 between 10 a.m. and 2 p.m., local residents are encouraged to leave empty liquor and beer bottles on their driveways, which will then be picked up by volunteers.
All money raised through the bottle donations will directly contribute to providing books for children in Chatham-Kent through the Imagination Library program.
