Charges have been laid after a liquor bottle was thrown at a store employee in Chatham.
The Chatham-Kent Police Service said a man attended a warehouse on St. Clair Street on Thursday shortly before 4 p.m. to purchase liquor. The man requested a cashback transaction, however, when his card was declined, he threw a liquor bottle at an employee.
No injuries were reported.
Officers were called to the scene and located a 40-year-old suspect, who was also wanted on outstanding warrants with the Niagara Regional Police Service.
The accused was arrested and held in custody for bail. Police have not released what charges the man faces.
